About Us
{loadposition position-team} In January 2009, Dr. Paul O. Williams, DVM — along with his wife Tonua — realized that E-Collars for dogs (also known as “The Cones of Shame”) were not supporting their pup Hannah’s post - surgical recovery.
After spending 40 years in the veterinary industry including several years with a weekly TV show and 2 years of “Live Call” on radio, Dr. Williams knows pet suffering when he sees it and his Baby Hannah wearing the “Cone of Shame” was indeed suffering.
That cone was scary, Hannah could not Eat, could not Sleep, and would not Snuggle.
Tonua wasn’t happy either, both the walls and her shins were scraped and scarred.
The Williams removed that plastic collar and replaced it with a nice soft piece of cloth that wrapped around Hannah’s body. This fabric protected Hannah’s recovery area while comforting her and allowing her to move freely and happily.
The idea for the Surgi~Snuggly ™ was born!
With Tonua’s entrepreneurial spirit and Dr. William’s veterinary experience they set out to create a comfortable, reliable alternative to the dreaded E - Collar.
The Williams knew that Surgi~Snuggly ™ was the perfect product to end dog suffering and now Surgi~Snuggly ™ is helping all kinds of dogs enjoy life as it eases their conditions and allows them to be a part of their family again.years of Research & Development, the patterns were finalized, the textile was chosen, WaGS (™) the Surgi~Snuggly ™ Signature Sizing System was developed and The Surgi~Snuggly ™ The Wonder Suit was introduced to the veterinary world.
That debut earned Surgi~Snuggly ™, The Wonder Suit, a “Best New Product” win from the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) conference. The Williams knew that Surgi~Snuggly ™ was the perfect product to end dog suffering and now Surgi~Snuggly ™ is helping all kinds of dogs enjoy life as it eases their conditions and allows them to be a part of their family again.
