2009: The idea of ®, The Wonder Suit was born.

2009 through 2011: Research and Development began. After 2 years of Research & Development, the patterns were finalized, the textile was chosen, WaGS™ the Surgi~Snuggly® Signature Sizing System was developed, and Surgi~Snuggly® The Wonder Suit was introduced to the veterinary world.

• With bio-security and versatility in mind, the back pocket was developed. This part of the suit can be unfastened, folded or rolled, and re-fastened for a part of the suit to be sectioned off, allowing the pet to relieve itself sanitarily. It also allows easy examination and treatment by a veterinarian without removing the entire suit.
• To allow for a tailored fit and special modifications such as holes to accommodate medical drain tubes, a self-healing, non-fraying material was selected.
• Stitched leg holes, which cut into the pet’s fleshy underarm and other sensitive parts, were avoided by using material that didn’t require stitching yet remained durable.

2011: Patent application submitted

2009 – 2011: We tested, tested, and tested Surgi~Snuggly® The Wonder Suit for fit, comfort, ease of use, textile construction, and overall durability.

2011: Trial debut at the 2011 AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) convention. That debut earned Surgi~Snuggly®, The Wonder Suit a “Best New Product” win from the AVMA.

2012 – UGA: University Of Georgia debut of Surgi~Snuggly®, The Wonder Suit. It was a big hit.

2012-2015: Research and Development of antimicrobial formulation to use in the future Surgi Pro antimicrobial line. Developed the Surgi Pro Antimicrobial M81071.

2016: Introduced the 2nd generation Surgi~ Snuggly® with a modified style and new textile. Addition of flat stitched leg holes and addition of our unique antimicrobial infused into the textile.

2016: Introduced the Surgi Pro with the antimicrobial feature to the University Of Georgia, UGA. Surgi Pro is made with a medical-grade antimicrobial ingredient. This unique antimicrobial works against all yeast, molds, fungi, and bacteria, including ringworm and MRSA by lysing their cell walls. The Surgi Pro is non-adaptive and is as effective in destroying bacteria on day 300 as on day 1.

2017:

• Introduced 3rd generation style and new high-performance textile including our unique antimicrobial.
• Introduced 3rd generation textile and style that meet OSHA standards for non-transferable microbes such as MRSA and ringworm from animal to staff.
• High-performance textile is milled in Pennsylvania to meet client specifications. Surgi~Snuggly® utilizes a high-performance textile used in human athletic wear. It is lightweight, breathable, stretchable for fit and durability, is washable and long-lasting.
• Added hook-and-loop (“Velcro”) covers to tab ends. 

2018: Debut of Surgi~Wraps and other new products.
